allow reading and writing of comments for Facebook entries

The ability to read and write comments on all Facebook Status entries (like the comment system on the FriendFeed version).

Unfortunately this is not possible though facebook's API. However we will continue to watch this space.

    Support Last.fm

What my friends are listening to right now. Obviously I don't want 1 alert per song but only have 1 alert per person and move it to the top when their song changes. Also would like an option to change how many people update at once.

group doubleposted items (e.g. Facebook updated via Twitter)

I, and many of my friends use Twitter to update statuses on Facebook. This creates two alerts, and the text is identical.

I would like to see a feature that detects when an alert is equivalent to another, and only displays it once (perhaps showing the Facebook and Twitter icons on the same line... more

    Play music in tweets

Song.ly (http://song.ly/) is a service that allows sharing music on Twitter. It would be fantastic to play music tweets right in AlertThingy - Song.ly API allows that

    Add support for identi.ca!

identi.ca is an open source microblogging tool that has cloned the Twitter API. That means that it's dead simple to add support for it (just copy the code and exchange the Twitter API URL with identi.ca's API URL, and you're done!). Please add support for it!

    integrate twt.fm

twt.fm allows twitter users to share music by simply providing an artist and track name. it also expands the twitter experience by incorporating your page aesthetic into your track pages, example: http://twt.fm/12

    Yammer authorization?

There's no place to enter the Yammer authorization code in the Alert Thingy 3.1 settings. Anyone else notice this?

    Control pop-up time,

The popups are too fast. Can't read the longer ones before they disappear. I'd like to increase to at least 5 secs.

    Add a refresh rate option.

Having lots of contacts means lots of updates. The refresh time is quite slow. Having an option like on TweetDeck for how often to refresh would make the service loads better.

Support growl for Mac, instead of custom popup notifications

The popup notifications are nice, but for the Mac, supporting growl would provide a lot more user-control over the notifications without needing to build it all into AlertThingy.

    IM Services

I'd love to be able to integrate Twitter, Facebook, Friendfeed, and all my IM services into one app. I know feature-creep is always a problem, but having 1 place for all my social online activity would be a god-send
